Beach Bash Update
Hey guys, July 14 looks like good beach weather. Originally, I was thinking about Sunday, July 8, but a number of people won't be available that day, and the others prefer a Saturday.
So, how is SATURDAY, JULY 14 work for everyone????

I <3 NY!
So, I thought I'd finally write about my trip to NY. I really do <3 NY.
As I posted earlier. DC was cool. Did the whole siteseeing thing. It was really clean. I saw the Declaration of Independence and it's fading. All of the signatures are already gone. Went to a gazillion free museums.. The weather was HOT!!
And now to NY. It was a blast. And soooo much fun. I think it's a place that you have to live for a few years to actually experience everything it has to offer. We tried different types of foods, went siteseeing, shopping and saw a broadway show. We saw The Color Purple with Fantasia from American Idol. It was so good. Fantasia blew me away with her voice!! I love riding the subway and not having to worry about driving or parking. It was great!! There is soooo much walking. I would get really tired in DC from all the walking but by the time I got to NY I was a pro. By the way, people in NY do not like slow walkers. You'll get pushed at, cussed at and they'll give you dirty looks. They also don't have the patience for indecisive people. Make up your mind and move on. I'd love to go to NY on a yearly basis. I really miss it... :( haha.. I've never felt that strongly about a place.. HAHA... The weather was cool. It was hot towards the end. It rained really hard on the first and last day for about 15 minutes and then cleared up. Other than that, it wasn't bad at all..
Oh I didn't mention earlier, in DC I kept getting really dizzy. Too the point where I felt I was standing on a boat when I was standing still on flat ground. When I got to NY, I was so fed up with it, since it had been a few days. I was so scared that I'd faint and end up in the hospital and my family would have to come all the way out to DC. Anyhow, I called Kamal. I'm so glad she's a doctor!! And she said I had a classic case of Vertigo. She told me to pick up some OTC medication and it should help relieve the symptoms. Anyhow, after I took the medication I was much better and was able to enjoy my trip.
Ohhh.. and in DC I went to this Bodies Exhibition. They had it in SF for a while. Anyhow, it's real life bodies that have been preserved and you can see every single muscle, artery and organ. Satty, I saw the gallbladder and I was like this little dinky thing gave Satty all those problems.. It was so cool to see. I saw little tiny fetuses at different weeks of gestation.
And in NY, I ate at White Castle.. Seriously, nothing beats In-N-Out. It was like McDonald's hamburgers/cheeseburgers. You can get 100 burgers for $53. They actually have that on the menu.

Bubblin in Dublin.
Hey guys!
I miss you guys! and I miss the US! I feel like Joey on Friends when he goes to London.. I miss the US where everyone knows my name. haha. anyways...
its pretty fun here. we're staying at Trinity College ands its GORGEOUS! check out some pics below.

i've been to a bunch of pubs already and drank lots of guiness. We did this one thing one night called the pub crawl. And basically we take this thing called DART (equivalent of our BART) and we went to the very last station. Then we take the DART back towards our original stop but we stop at each station along the way and go to a pub. So we drank 1 beer/drink at each stop. THere were about 8 stops or so and we had 15-20min at each to finish our drink. It was awesome. About 4 guys in our group were dumbasses and actually walked across the rail tracks to get to the other side. the Guarda (AKA police) stopped them and we all left them (our social host told us to go and said they'll catch up with us)..i think they are just gonna get fined.
we took a weekend trip to Belfast which is in NOthern Ireland. It was pretty cool. The shopping was really cheap there. And there was a festival going on so we got to see a parade, we met the lord mayor, we got free food from countries around the world (india, philipines, china, latvia, poland, ireland, jamaica) and we got free mehndi on our hands. it was really fun. But we stayed in a hostel! SO WEIRD! it was supposedly a nice hostel but hostels are jsut yucky. anyways.
so yeah so far i'm having fun..the only part that sucks is that it rains sooo much here and Dublin is soo expensive. but i'm looking forward to the Guiness factory tour! :D haha. kay see ya soon...i'll be back July 8th!

FREE AT LAST! FREE AT LAST!!
So I thought this day would never come. I thought I was going to be pursuing my bachelors for the rest of my life! I am finally done! I just took the last final of my life an hour ago. I am feeling pretty euphoric right now even though I am running on 2 hours or less of sleep. Things to do today: 1. college, oh wait thats DONE!!! Thinking back to all the academic hardships i have experienced they were totally worth it, I have come a long way. I just wish that my elementary and high school teachers could see me now. All the detentions, referalls, suspensions, pink slips, etc... dont mean anything, anymore. I am going to go and enjoy my few moments of not having to stress about anything for the time being. I will be getting drunk tomorrow incase anyone is wondering.
your most anticipated college grad,
Bidoo

History in the making!!!
Disclaimer: this is a once in a lifetime event you don't want to miss!!
Hi everyone,
Okay, as most of you know I am graduating from UC Davis this spring 2007. (Not a moment too soon) My actual graduation date is June 17th, unfortunately, I only have a limited number of tickets for that ceremony. However, I am also participating in the South Asian Middle Eastern (S.A.M.E.) ceremony and an unlimited number of guests can attend this ceremony. I would love for all of you guys to attend since this is a major milestone event in my academic career. The S.A.M.E. ceremony is on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 5:30pm to 8:00pm. For those of you who are working on that Friday or plan to be sick, I will understand if you can not make it; only if you bring a note from your employer stating you are scheduled to work for that day or if you guys can submit a doctors note (I will not accept any doctors notes that are signed off by Kamal). Relax, I am not going to be that strict about it. For those of you who are still interested in attending I suggest you guys carpool because northbound 680 and 80 traffic on Friday is brutal! Do plan to leave around 2:00pm in order to beat traffic if you are coming from Milpitas/San Jose. My parents will be attending the S.A.M.E. ceremony so maybe they may have room but I am planning on having Jasmine and Rajveer carpool with them in case G or Bob can't make it. If you guys have any further questions give me a call or email me. It will mean a lot to me if any and hopefully all of you guys attend. Everyone please make an effort to attend!

Mubarak 2007
June 15, 2007 at Freeborn Hall 5:30pm to 8:00pm
P.S. for those of you who need extra convincing, there is an Indian casino (thunder valley) nearby so maybe we can go there after.
Motivation for those of you who are still working on your undergrad: I am living proof anyone can graduate and acquire a bachelors degree. So come to my graduation and see history in the making!!!

LA-LA land
Me, harjot, sukhdeep, randeep and harmeet went to LA this past memorial day weekend. So first we had difficulties at the car rental place. we were there for like 2 hours or something just trying to get a full size car that didn't have a flat tire! the guy working there was being a jerk and tried to make us take the flat tire car. but we didn't wanna go all the way to LA in that car plus the punjabi uncle in the parking lot kept motivating us to go back and get a better car for the same rate. Finally, we got a car from another guy that works there...we got a Monte Carlo I believe...and it was AWESOME! It was this big white car thatl ooks like a cop car that old people drive. It was a six seater-- three people can sit in the front. Anyways we drove all the way to LA and didn't get there until about 5am-ish. When we got to our hotel the guy said he didn't have our reservations but we had our confirmation number but the hotel was booked so he had to walk us to another hotel for FREE! so our first two nights were paid for-- well...get reimbursed. The next day we went to this sushi restaurant in beverly hills and then later to this bar in manhanttan beach on the pier. it was a lot of goreh.
next day we went to the grove and the farmer's market there. the farmer's market was soo good. We saw Debra Wilson (the black actress from Mad TV) eating at this restaurant and then we followed her into Nordstroms so Harmeet and Bidu could see her..lol. Then, we went to long beach and stayed at the hyatt-- which was gorgeous. at one point, me, randeep and harmeet drove around long beach but we all sat in the front with no one in th eback. people kept looking at us like we were crazy and they kept laughing. at one point these guys were liek yall gonna get a ticket! that night we went to the ucla bruin bhangra show after party on the queen mary. it was pretty whack. then afterwards tehre was a royal rumble at the hotel room...errr. yeah. the way back was pretty fun because we did karokee/concert the whole way home! :D
