History in the making!!!

Disclaimer: this is a once in a lifetime event you don't want to miss!!

Hi everyone,

Okay, as most of you know I am graduating from UC Davis this spring 2007. (Not a moment too soon) My actual graduation date is June 17th, unfortunately, I only have a limited number of tickets for that ceremony. However, I am also participating in the South Asian Middle Eastern (S.A.M.E.) ceremony and an unlimited number of guests can attend this ceremony. I would love for all of you guys to attend since this is a major milestone event in my academic career. The S.A.M.E. ceremony is on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 5:30pm to 8:00pm. For those of you who are working on that Friday or plan to be sick, I will understand if you can not make it; only if you bring a note from your employer stating you are scheduled to work for that day or if you guys can submit a doctors note (I will not accept any doctors notes that are signed off by Kamal). Relax, I am not going to be that strict about it. For those of you who are still interested in attending I suggest you guys carpool because northbound 680 and 80 traffic on Friday is brutal! Do plan to leave around 2:00pm in order to beat traffic if you are coming from Milpitas/San Jose. My parents will be attending the S.A.M.E. ceremony so maybe they may have room but I am planning on having Jasmine and Rajveer carpool with them in case G or Bob can't make it. If you guys have any further questions give me a call or email me. It will mean a lot to me if any and hopefully all of you guys attend. Everyone please make an effort to attend!

P.S. for those of you who need extra convincing, there is an Indian casino (thunder valley) nearby so maybe we can go there after.

Motivation for those of you who are still working on your undergrad: I am living proof anyone can graduate and acquire a bachelors degree. So come to my graduation and see history in the making!!!

Seema and I will be there, Bidster! And we're also in for Thunder Valley afterwards... for those that need more convincing, they do serve alcohol at this one. In fact, they have a really nice bar inside... it's almost like a club/lounge. Must be 21+ though. Have your IDs ready.

i might be able to make it. i have to see if I can get off of work early and if anyone is willing to ride with me later. (possibly my parents?)

In response to seema's question, I have no life plans... but my parents plans for my life are that i get a job ASAP. Shut up Harjot. Ok my life plans are to hopefully get into a field that requires travel. I would love to do sales for a major corporation such as southwest or American airlines. I was even thinking of doing group ticket sales for a local sports team (no not a freaking ticket sales agent who stands at the window). or who knows maybe doing leasing in the corporate housing environment. Yeah right now the possibilities are endless, until I actually start searching and realize my ideal position is not offered and settle for what i can get. i am so glad to hear you and sat will be attending. Mandeep you better attend!
