SUBWAY!!!!

Its been a while since I have posted, that's because I have been traveling the world researching potential blog post topics. So today I finally had an interesting enough day to write about. I had the privilege of receiving an educational Subway restaurant tour, compliments of Manny. The tour started with staff introductions that took place in the office/storage area. Immediately, after meeting the oldest sandwich artist who was well into his 50's, I felt as if I had entered a Ripley's believe it or not museum. This particular staff member looked as if he was not a day over 30!!! For reference sake this staff members ethnicity is Filipino. After introductions the tour lead to the walk-in refrigerator. I had never seen so many Jalapenos and mounds of mayonnaise in my life! Continuing on, my friendly tour guide, Manny, gave me special permission to go... BEHIND THE COUNTER!!!! This is where untold secrets began to unfold. I saw instructions on how to make each sandwich on the menu. This whole time I thought Subway sandwich artists knew by heart exactly which ingredient went on each different sandwich. For the first time I knew what it felt like to be on the other side of the counter. Things are different when a sneeze guard isn't present on your side. The other side of the counter experience was liberating but yet I felt anxiety being in a place that I had never been to before. The aroma of the sandwich toppings was much more prevalent on the other side than the customer side. Manny concluded the tour with the cash register exhibit, this is where I learned how easy the computer system is to use. At the end of the tour my senses were pleasantly aroused by the aroma of fresh bread and the sight of a mouth watering submarine sandwich display on the counter. There was only one last thing left to do... order a sandwich!

All in all this was a wonderful experience i received a tour, sandwich, CHERRY coke, chips, AND kids pak toys for the special cousin promotion price of FREE NINETY NINE!!!! To those of you who haven't had the privilege of a special Subway restaurant tour I highly suggest you make more than nice with Manny and give him a visit. Try to do your visits so its one cousin per month, we don't want Manny going out of business now.

Thank you G for the memorable tour package, I learned a lot today.
YAY 4 SUBWAY!!!
