In the class actiin case Castano v. American Tobacco Company, plaintiffs sued the defendant tobacco corporation for damages and injuries caused by smoking cigarettes for several years. The plaintiffs won this case. The attorneys of the plaintiffs were awarded $500 million a year for 20 years!! [that's like $10 billion] (That means the plaintiffs were awarded EVEN MORE!) crazy huh?
